Energy conservation

Energy conservation is about decreasing the quantity of energy we use. We can do this by efficient energy use, which you can get by using average amount of energy services. Energy conservation can increase our financial capital, environmental value, national & personal security, and also human comfort. In Singapore, the people who are concerned about this may want to conserve energy in order to reduce energy costs and promote economic security. Industrial users may want to increase efficiency and be able to maximize their profit.

Energy conservation is the most important thing of energy policy. Energy conservation reduces the energy used and energy demands. So, the growth in energy supply needs to be kept up with population growth. This reduces the rise in energy costs, and can reduce the need for new power plants. The reduced energy demand can provide more choices in choosing the most preferred methods of energy production.

By reducing emissions, energy conservation is an important part of reducing climate change. Energy conservation is the easier choice to the replacement of non-renewable resources with renewable energy. Energy conservation is often the most economical solution to energy shortages, and is a more environmental friendly alternative to increased energy production.
